Tax Success

Actually, success is a loose term here. I managed to get them done a day early (a first for me); however, there not giving me a $10,000 refund or anything. I have to pay.
I have left my procrastinating days behind me... No more 15th... 14th all the way. Turning over a new leaf and all that.
Things I could have bought with the $63 additional dollars I'm paying:

Dinner for 1 at the New Yorker (minus the Figi water)
Half the dress I tried on at Ann Taylor
1/4 of a tooth polished
One day of car insurance
A homeless cat, actually I think they're more

The world is an expensive place.

The government has deprived you of many "almost" obtainable things, ie. the dress, the cat. But just think of where your money is going: To line so overpayed underworked congressmans pockets, so he can take a trip (tax write off) with his wife and eat at expensive restaurants (tax write off), where they will buy some souvenier made by a child in a sweat shop that they are secretly funding with your $63.

Well maybe, and this is a big maybe, the $63 went to help some underpriviledged kids get some new school supplies. Or maybe to help build a new school or get some medical help for some unfortunate soul that can't get medical insurance due to the high cost and low funding from the greedy government leaders.

Those $63 could have gone towards importing a case of Poland Springs water from Maine.
