I have nothing to write about, but thought I would start my blog page back up. Great fun. First, I want to thank all that stop by and read my thoughts, and think "She is a nice lady." Thats really nice of you to think that of me. :) All joking aside, I am a nice lady. WHAT?? Sheesh I can't just get on here and talk about how wonderful I am? What is the point of a blog then?? :)
I am looking for the next great book. There have been several books that I have bought, and just couldn't get into. If you have a favorite book, please let me know. If the author is Donna Tart, I am not interested. Right Sharon? :) Just kidding, for the record Donna Tart is an excellent author. She can bring her characters to life. She is an amazing story teller. One of her books is The Little Friend. Everyone should read this book. If you do, please let me know your thoughts on this book.
I am going to annoy Sharon and Marie with this Blog.

You only hope to annoy Sharon with this blog? I feel so left out!
I have a bachelor's in English, but many of my favorite books are ones I read before college: Jane Eyre, Alice in Wonderland, A Separate Peace, Precious Bane, Huck Finn, Dandelion Wine.
If you want funny and are willing to make the effort to get used to British upper class language quirks, P.D. Wodehose's books are hilarious.
And of course Jane Austen is hard not to love, though I have yet to read Northanger Abbey & Mansfield Park. Sharon says Mansfield Park is kind of annoying, so maybe we should all rely on her good taste and avoid that one. My favorite is Persuasion, and it's not just because I'm a spinster -- I first read it when I was 20, and that's not spinsterly, even by Utah standards :)
I think you should add some pictures of your cat on here!!! Im glad you have a blog, I love reading everyones blogs. I will add who my favorite author is...Sonia O'Brien!!:)
Buffie
Marie- I really do hope to annoy Sharon with this blog, but don't worry I will add your name to the list. :)
I should read Alice in Wonderland and A Separate Piece. And I am very curious about Persuasion, so I will definitely be checking that book out. Thanks for the suggestions.
Buffie- I love Sonia O'Brien's books too!! If I knew how to add pictures to the blog, there would be tons of Lucy! But I can't figure it out, any help you can give would be great!
Nice to see you in the blogging world...again. Only 3 years since your last post. Nice! My favorite book of all time, obviously you know what it is, but I will tell you again...Girl With the Pearl Earring. LOVE IT! I am going to start reading it again soon. Maybe we can read together and discuss?? That would be a 'fun' thing for us gorillas to do!
Love ya :)
